The Mind mile in Preston Park- public meeting 22nd March 2008
14 Mar 2008

Mind in Brighton and Hove, with the backing of the city council, has been given the go ahead to rename what was the former peace mile in Preston Park to the Mind mile.

The aim is to foster links between physical health and mental well being. The Mind mile will be a space for everyone, park users and the general public to exercise at their own pace and to reflect.

It is hoped that sponsorship can be raised to commission public art and that sculptures with planting and some landscaping can be placed at intervals along the route.

A public meeting will be held on Saturday 22nd March, from 2-4pm at the pavilion at the mens' bowling green in Preston Park to provide more information.Regular updates will be included on the Mind website.
