Mental Health Awareness Workshop for Workers or Volunteers

Mind in Brighton and Hove is providing an opportunity for workers or volunteers who come into contact with
people with Mental Health issues to attend a Mental Health Awareness Workshop.

When:
10am – 4pm Thursday June 11th, 2009

Where:
Friends’ Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton. BN1 1AF

Who:
This workshop is an introductory course aimed at workers or volunteers who are not mental health specialists, but whose work brings them into contact with people experiencing mental health issues.

Cost:
£45 per person

The workshop aims include:
• Increasing awareness, understanding and knowledge of mental health issues.
• Understanding the causes, triggers and impact of mental illness.
• Improving communication with people experiencing distress.
• Providing information about local mental health services.
