The East Brighton Mental Health Project is part of the The Healthy Living Centre which co-ordinates a range of health related activities and initiatives. The centre aims to promote health in an innovative way and provides information and resources for people living in the East Brighton area.

We hold the Community Legal Services Quality Mark to provide a range of information and legal advice services and meet quality standards set by the Legal Services Commission. We are externally audited by the Legal Services Commission, which has awarded us the Quality Mark for 'General help with casework'.

The Mental Health project works to address the mental health issues identified by local residents by working in partnership with residents and local service providers to develop innovative and sustainable ways to promote mental health and wellbeing.

The project focuses on 2 main areas of work:
Mental health and wellbeing promotion work, including training, community events and activities i.e. Mental Health Roadshows
Dedicated advice and information appointments both at the Healthy Living Centre and on an outreach basis for anyone who has a mental health concern.

The project also chairs the East Brighton Mental Health Action Group which is made up of local residents and representatives from local service providers who have an interest in promoting mental health in the East Brighton Area.
