Experience in Mind Experience in Mind is an innovative volunteering project led by young people who have come together to design and deliver training for professionals, parents and other young people using their own experiences of mental health. The project currently provides a range of training to professionals covering the topics anxiety, stress and depression, communication and self harm. The training is multi-media and includes films and recordings developed by young people aimed at giving participants a better understanding of a young person's perspective of experiencing mental health. If you would like to find out more about the training or are interested in booking a course please ask for our leaflet for more information. The project has three year funding from vinvolved – the national youth volunteering programme to develop new training and materials to work in schools, with young people organisations and with families and carers. If you are aged 16 -25 and are interested in getting involved there are a wide range of opportunities including project development, PR and marketing, mental health promotion, designing multimedia materials (film and photography) and delivering training. No experience is needed as training and support will be given and the time commitment is flexible to suit you. Please get in contact and tell us what interests you. Service Opening Hours To find out more about the project contact The Experience in Mind Co-ordinator on 01273 889292 or 07712 881056. Project Funding Downloads
