Support Group for Men Over 40

This support group offers an opportunity for men over 40 to have open and frank conversations about suicide – we aim to create a safe space to talk about thoughts, feelings and experiences that may be making it hard to carry on living. Members offer each other support and share suggestions for coping with thoughts of suicide and ways to improve mental health.

The group is facilitated by an experienced group worker. Anyone interested can contact us directly or be referred. Potential members will be given a brief assessment by the group facilitator to assess their suitability for the group and to give them an opportunity to find out whether they feel the group is right for them.

Members can attend every week, however if they miss more than three sessions in a row their place will be given to the next person on the waiting list. They can join the waiting list as many times as they want/need.

Service Opening Hours
The group runs weekly, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Wednesdays, at 51 New England Street. Please click here for contact details.
