Today is the final day of Advocacy Awareness week! We hope you’ve enjoyed our daily news items and found the materials we’ve shared interesting. In response to what our clients often ask us, we have developed a Self-Advocacy Tip Sheet. We appreciate that there is no voice that can better explain how you feel, what you think, or express your views, than your own. So our team of Advocates have collated these tips and ideas for you to use to help you feel more confident to self-advocate.
However, if you feel you do need free, independent and professional mental health advocacy support you can always refer to our Advocacy services.
Remember we are also running a campaign to get people talking about and celebrating advocacy. It would be great to hear about what advocacy means to you! We’d love to hear your examples of how advocacy has helped you, or someone you know. Tell us using the hashtag #MyVoiceHeard on twitter, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are happy for us to share this information anonymously via our website and social media, please let us know in the e-mail.
