FREE Skateboarding tuition for 11 – 16 years olds at Brighton Youth Centres Indoor Skatepark
Every Tuesday from 31st October – 5th December from 4.15pm – 5.15pm
Skateboarding is a great way to get active, boost your mood, build confidence and express yourself.
Have you ever wanted to try skateboarding? Do you know someone who is feeling anxious or depressed who could benefit from this programme?
The Go Skate project is a programme for young people aged 11 – 16 years organised by Brighton and Hove City Councils Healthy Lifestyles Team in partnership with Brighton Youth Centre.
The project teaches skateboarding as a pathway to better mental health and wellbeing.
The free course features six one hour coached sessions at Brighton Youth Centres indoor skatepark with skateboards, helmets and pads all provided.
Friendly and qualified coaches will teach participants how to ride a skateboard, basic moves and how to ride ramps, developing skills and confidence each week in a private space at your own pace.
