Nature Connection days for Mental Health Carers

Would you like to:

  • Experience the calming, relaxing and reinvigorating benefits of being outdoors in nature?
  • Have fun and relax in a stunningly beautiful natural setting?
  • Connect with others in a similar situation to you in the great wide outdoors?

If so, then join us for a day out with local wellbeing in nature charity Grow as we enjoy a day retreat in the beautiful Sussex countryside on

Tuesday 20th March 2018

funded by the Carers Commissioning Manager

The day will be designed around your needs and will offer a chance to spend time in nature, in a group, with other Carers, experiencing the wellbeing effects of nature connection and getting a break away from the stresses of the City and everyday life.  You will have the chance to choose from a range of activities such as wild art, conservation work, food foraging and cooking, mindfulness and gentle meditation exercises, guided walks, shepherding, and craft / green woodworking activities.

Activities will take place at Saddlescombe Farm – owned by the National Trust, and just 20 minutes drive from Brighton.

Saddlescombe is a magical hidden gem nestled in the rolling hills of the South Downs, with chickens roaming free, a beautiful walled vegetable garden & warming real fires.

Drinks, lunch and minibus transport from central Brighton will be provided.

Places are limited to 12, but there will be five more days like this available over the course of the next year.
