Virtual Youth PPI Cafe

The Virtual Youth PPI Café launched in May 2020. This is a project organised by the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) team at Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust. This is a space where young people (aged 16-22) with Lived Experience, can come to learn about mental health research and get involved. The PPI Youth Café has been created to give young people a space to have a real input within current mental health research that affects them. It will be a chance for you to learn about a wide range of ongoing research and use your own experience to offer a fresh perspective on current studies.

This will be an entirely youth led space. A team of Research Assistants working within Research & Development, will be leading the session to make this more of a peer-based network, made up entirely of young service users and young professionals.

PLEASE NOTE that this space is not therapeutic and that the focus is very much on being a part of mental health research, rather than offering any emotional support during this time.
