World Suicide Prevention Day 10th September

What is World Suicide Prevention Day?

Every year on 10 September, organisations and communities come together to raise awareness about how we can work together to create a world where fewer people die by suicide. The theme for 2024 – 2026 remains Changing the Narrative.

World Suicide Prevention Day is a chance for people to come together, raise awareness, and take meaningful steps towards preventing suicide and supporting those who may be struggling to cope. In the UK work is led by The National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA)  a cross-sector, England-wide coalition of over 70 organisations working reduce suicide in England. National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA).

UOK will be hosting a webinar for World Suicide Prevention Day in collaboration with Rethink Mental Illness and Grassroots Suicide Prevention. The session will focus on Communities & Practical Resources and will bring together expert speakers and lived experience voices to share practical tools, fresh perspectives, and a vision for collective care.
