Our Christmas and New Year Opening Hours
During the Christmas and New Year period, Mind in Brighton & Hove’s services will be open as usual on the following dates and times.
Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December 9.00-5.00pm
Wednesday 24th December 9.00-2.00pm
We will then be closed from Thursday 25th December - Sunday 28th December
Mind in Brighton & Hove is recruiting: Mental Health Advice Worker
We are seeking to appoint a Mental Health Advice Worker for our busy and established service in Brighton and Hove. The role plays an essential part of our response to those people contacting us with their mental health enquiries and concerns.
Charity Fraud Awareness Week 8th -12th December
Mind in Brighton and Hove is supporting Charity Fraud Awareness Week. Now in its 10th year the week brings together charities, NGOs, not-for-profits, representative bodies, and other sector stakeholders to share knowledge, expertise, and best practice in the fight against fraud.

National Grief Awareness Week 2nd - 8th December
National Grief Awareness Week is marked by The Good Grief Trust which connects more than 1,000 specialist services under one umbrella. This year their theme is "Growing with Grief". The theme acknowledges that, after a loss, we can't go back to the person we once were, but can instead grow into someone new, shaped by love, memories and resilience. Self Care Week 17th-23rd November
National Self-Care Week is the UK-wide annual awareness week that focuses on raising awareness on self-care. The overarching theme is “Mind and Body” and the aim is to raise awareness and remind people of the importance of self-care in maintaining a healthier life.
Men’s Health in November
At Mind in Brighton and Hove we are providing a free workshop on Men’s Mental Healthon 25th November at 1pm. This session will explore how we can challenge stigma and have supportive conversations around men’s mental health.
Stress Awareness Week 3rd-7th November
International Stress Awareness Week is an annual event run by ISMA focusing on stress management and campaigning against the stigma associated with stress and mental health.
World Mental Health Day 10th October
World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October.
Poor mental health is not inevitable, and World Mental Health Day is an opportunity for us all to talk about mental health and consider how, together, we can help everyone have better mental health.
Black History Month October 2025
Mind in Brighton and Hove will be supporting Black History Month during October through its website and social media. This year the theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” a powerful tribute to the resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines the Black community across the globe.
Healthy Conversations - Let's talk...ageing
As part of their Healthy Conversations Campaign Brighton and Hove Council are inviting residents of all ages to discuss how they feel about getting older, what steps they can take to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing, and where to go for support.
Have you been bereaved by suicide ?
East Sussex Council are inviting people who have been bereaved of a loved one by suicide at Beachy Head to come together to share their experiences and stories in a safe and confidential space.
Marking International Overdose Awareness Day – 31 August
Brighton & Hove will join cities across the globe in marking International Overdose Awareness Day on 31 August, a day to remember those lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of families and friends, and raise awareness of harm reduction interventions that can save lives.

What is World Suicide Prevention Day?
Every year on 10 September, organisations and communities come together to raise awareness about how we can work together to create a world where fewer people die by suicide. The theme for 2024 – 2026 remains Changing the Narrative.
