‍Suicide Prevent Day 10th September 2026

World Suicide Prevention Day brings organisations and communities together to raise awareness that suicide can be prevented and that everyone has a role in supporting wellbeing. This year the Global theme remains"Changing the Narrative on Suicide"– encouraging open conversations, reducing stigma, and promoting help-seeking behaviours. It is estimated that there are currently more than 720,000 suicides per year worldwide, and we know that each suicide profoundly affects many more people.

If you are worried about your own mental health (or someone’s you care for) feeling unable to cope, or worried you may harm yourself or somebody else and/or experiencing suicidal feelings there are details on how to access support at www.sussexpartnership.nhs.uk/about-us/news-events/how-are-you-really-feeling
