Mind in Brighton and Hove isProud to Support Pride. We’re here all year round for anyone who’s LGBTQIA+. But Pride is a special time to celebrate, to protest, to reflect.
This year the Pride Community Parade returns with the theme the Power of Love. In 2026, Brighton & Hove Pride proudly celebrates 35 years of bold, joyful LGBTQ+ visibility. The Pride Community Parade is a showcase of the city’s charities, community groups and small businesses as well as our invaluable emergency services, the NHS and statutory partners.
Pride Month is a special time for our community to come together and celebrate LGBTQIA+ identities. But for some, it can be difficult and bring up feelings of shame or stigma, either from ourselves or from others. You might not feel able to come out, or you could face negativity from the people around you.
It can be difficult to feel proud of who you are when you’re facing discrimination, and this can have a huge impact on our mental health. Here's some tips on looking after yourself:

You can also visit Proud Brighton – We Are Community, a portrait photography project celebrating 35 years of Pride in Brighton & Hove. The images are on display at Jubilee Library, Brighton, from 27 July to 15 August 2026, and across the city on lamppost banners. They will also be appearing on placards in the Pride Parade. Commissioned by Brighton Pride CIC, the project is part of United in Pride, a joint initiative bringing together Brighton & Hove Pride, Trans Pride Brighton and Brighton Bear Weekend. The project features portraits of people drawn from all three communities, each accompanied by a single sentence about what Pride means to them, reflecting Pride as it is actually lived across the city. www.proud-studios.co.uk/proud-brighton
