Celebrating Mental Health Week 2026
Mental Health Week’s theme this year is taking ‘Action’ to support both our individual and collective mental health. We are launching our new 5 Ways to Wellbeing Walking Programme to offer an opportunity for people to come together and be more active
Each week, for 5 weeks our Mental Health Team will lead a relaxed one-hour walk (a shorter 30-minute route will also be available) giving you the opportunity to get outdoors and connect with others as well as learning how to use The Five Ways to Wellbeing to improve your mental health.
In Week 6 - a final session will be held to celebrate the end of the programme, enjoy some refreshments and develop personalised 5 Ways to Wellbeing Plans, drawing on our experiences and learning.
The walks are open to everyone, no matter your ability and will be a great space to help you get moving, feel better and connect with others. At the end of each walk we hope you will stay and join us for a chat and a free drink at a local café.
The walks will remain on hard surface paths throughout ensuring accessibility for all and follow routes where toilets and rest benches are available.
