Carers Week 8th – 14th June 2026
Mind in Brighton and Hove is supporting Carers Week 8th – 14th June 2026. This year’s campaign is themed "Building Carer Friendly Communities", focusing on recognizing, understanding, and supporting unpaid carers locally and nationally. The campaign will highlight the impact carer friendly communities can have in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere.
Along with recognising the contribution carers make to families and communities throughout the UK. The awareness week is important as it also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
The Mental Health Advice Team will be marking Carers Week with a mental health and wellbeing stall at the Brighton Carers Festival on Wednesday 10 June 2026, from 10.00am to 5.00pm, at The Open Market on London Road. This annual event run by The Carers Centre for Brighton and Hove brings together a wide range of organisations in the city to who support carers. We will also be providing a talk at a Carers Workshop at Brighton Station Practice Plus G.P. Surgery to provide unpaid carers with more information about their rights and available support.
